-Manicures and pedicures should be done at least 1 day before your appointment.
-Waxing should be completed 1–2 days prior to allow the skin to calm.
-Shave the day before your tan to avoid skin sensitivity and ensure even application.
-Exfoliate thoroughly! Use an exfoliating mitt or cloth for best results. If unavailable, a sugar scrub is a good alternative—just make sure it’s oil-free.
-Shower and lightly exfoliate using only an exfoliating mitt or cloth—no sugar scrubs, no soap, water only.
-Come with clean, dry skin. Do not apply lotion, perfume, body spray, cologne, or deodorant after your shower. These can interfere with the tanning solution.
-When you arrive, your spray tan artist will consult with you on color choice, explain rinse timing, and go over aftercare instructions.
-Please bring a hair tie if you have long hair. A disposable cap will be provided to keep your hair protected during the session.
DURING APPOINTMENT
-Women can be sprayed in a bathing suit, thong, or nude.
-Men can be sprayed in boxers, nude, or bring a sock.
TO THE APPOINTMNET
-Wear loose fitting clothing, preferably a long sleeve shirt/crewneck, and loose pants. (Avoid zippers, snaps and buttons, jeans, stiff fabrics, white and closed toed shoes).
THE ACTUAL SPRAY TANNING TAKES 8-10 MINUTES. PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR PAPERWORK AND DISCUSSION OVER AFTERCARE.
-You may feel slightly sticky for up to an hour—this is normal and will subside as the solution dries.
-While your tan is developing, avoid sweating, water, and skin-to-skin contact to prevent uneven results.
Your first rinse should be a water-only rinse—no soap. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear to prevent streaking.
-No soap until your second shower.
If you received a rapid tan, it may look like the color washed off during your first rinse. This is normal! Full color will develop over the next 8–24 hours.
-Do not moisturize until the next morning.
-If you're sleeping in the tan:
-Shower only (no baths) while you have your spray tan—soaking will remove your tan prematurely.
-Planning to swim (pool, hot tub, ocean)? Apply a water-resistant sunscreen beforehand and reapply as needed to help protect your tan.
*Remember: Any water exposure, especially soaking, will speed up fading.
-Moisturize daily with a lotion or body oil that does not contain mineral oil to keep your tan looking fresh.
-Avoid swimming or exercising for at least 24 hours after your first rinse to allow the tan to fully develop.
-Do not exfoliate until you're ready to remove your spray tan, as it will cause premature fading.
-Limit water exposure, especially soaking (baths, hot tubs), as it can significantly speed up fading.
-Pat dry after showers—avoid rubbing with a towel to prevent patchiness.
-Hands and face fade faster—you may want to use a gradual tanner or tan-extending lotion on those areas to maintain an even glow.
